HBU’s Office Of Advancement Welcomes A New Development Officer
3 May 2022, Houston, Texas – Aaron Diehl has joined Houston Baptist University’s Office of Advancement & University Relations as a Development Officer. Diehl got a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from HBU in 2006 and brings to the post significant management and administrative abilities.
Prior to joining HBU, Diehl worked for manufacturing firms in the Vulcan industry, including oilfield services Industrial & Black Horse LLC, in various management, finance, and procurement capacities.
“Aaron’s expertise and commitment to HBU will be vital as we launch The Ten Pillars 2030 and move forward with our major campaign and strategic objectives,” said Sharon Saunders, vice president of advancement and university relations. “As a previous Chair of the HBU Alumni Association Supervisory Board, he has a passion for his alma mater and will be a valuable addition of our team.”
Diehl is excited to work with HBU to further mission through building relationships and connecting people to possibilities. Diehl is passionate regarding HBU’s mission and role in the community and world.
“It means a lot to me to being able to go back to our alma mater in that capacity and help promote the University at such an exciting moment.” According to Diehl.
He & his wife, Stephanie, an 2008 HBU graduate, established an endowed fund at HBU that would help undergraduate education students. Aside from HBU, Diehl enjoys exploring with his family, rooting for the Houston Astros, following Arsenal FC, & keeping up with all matters Houston. Elle and Kate are his two daughters with his wife.

The 4th Annual Author Celebration will be held at HBU
The Author Celebration will be held again on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Houston Baptist University. The event will feature HBU faculty and staff writing projects which have been released since the last Author Festival in 2019.
The event will take place at MD Anderson Student Center just on HBU campus from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and is free & open to the public. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the writers in person, buy their books, and have their books signed. theology, education, medicine, business, Fiction, philosophy, history, and literature are among the fields represented by featured authors.
