Concerns Raised over Lies about ‘Onion’

Family expresses concern over Henderson Animal Control’s lies about Onion as the dog is given into the ownership of The Lexus Project.

In response to the issues raised by the Judge at the hearing on May 11, 2012 Elizabeth Keller, with her son, Christopher present, signed over ownership of Onion to the Lexus Project, Inc. in order that the Lexus Project might arrange for Onion to live out his days with people who will care for him and treat him well at the sanctuary rather than being killed, scared and alone, at the hands of Henderson Animal Control.

Ms. Keller has stated that based on the lies put out by Henderson Animal Control as to Onion’s temperament and what occurred, Ms. Keller has concerns about how Onion is being treated by Henderson Animal Control and wants him to be in better hands. Ms. Keller categorically denies that Onion was ever vicious or had any prior incidents, and has never told anyone that he had been anything but a loving and cherished family member.

Everyone associated with The Lexus Project offers their deepest condolences for the tragedy this family has and continues to suffer and it is our fervent hope that the press and the public will respect the family’s privacy and allow them to deal with their grief as they must. A motion for reconsideration, based upon these changed circumstances has been submitted to the Court for signature, we are waiting for the Court to sign a further TRO.
